“It is said that King Dhritarashtra asked a question and described the battlefield of Kurukshetra as Dharmakshetra, field of virtue (The Gita begins with King Dhritarashtra asking what his sons and the Pandavas are doing in Kurukshetra). Referring to his sons he says, ‘Mamaka’ — that is, those to whom I am bound by attachment. Dhritarashtra, in his ignorance, asked a question which really means, what are the thamo and rajo gunas (slothful and passionate qualities), represented by the Kauravas, doing in the battlefield with the Pandavas who represent sattvic gunas (pure qualities). This battle is continually being waged, in the body which is the true Dharmakshetra, in Kurukshetra which symbolises the sensory organs. And Lord Krishna in the form of the consciousness or Atma is a witness to this battle all the time..”
LAASA salutes its volunteer Teeda Suresh who has explained the meaning and the inner essence of all the vedas by identifying needy person – R. Lakshmi Narayana (23) a resident of Visakhapatnam who is suffering from HLA-B*27 SSP type disease ( Ankylosing Spondylitis) from past 8 years. His father R.Veerabara Rao is working as a Watchman at an Appartment. His father’s income is not enough to meet the medical expenses and for the family. LAASA has committed to extend hand by providing the necessary Medical Assistance to Lakshmi Narayana.
The basic essence of all the Vedas is to serve the needful with purity at heart with unity. As always LAASA is to Love all and Serve All to infinity and beyond.
